BRIEF PROFILE

Dr. Ganesh K. Mani, M.Ch., M.N.A.M.S. is the Chairman of Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgery at Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital (Saket City Hospital), Saket since October 2013.

He received the prestigious PADMASHRI award from the President of India in 2013. He was earlier trained in Cardiac Surgery at Christian Medical College, Vellore; Royal Prince Alfred Hospital & St. Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney and Royal Children Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.

He pioneered Beating Heart Surgery in 2000 while at Apollo and has since performed over 8000 Off Pump CABGs. He has done over 20,000 cardiac surgeries of all types (congenital, valvular and coronary).

He has special interest in contemporary heart valves which last longer. He champions the Rotary “Gift of Life” project, which provides free heart surgery to poor children born with congenital heart disease.
